Today in the #Amplifriday spotlight, we have the opportunity to amplify a local fabricator/entrepreneur who has been a steadfast employer, community contributor, and talented fabricator and recently had his work garner national attention. Today, we’re thrilled to amplify Owen Jones of Raw Elements Design.
Owen is a Thompson Rivers University alumni from the Welding program. He grew up in Kamloops, worked in the trades and construction industry for years, received his Red Seal for Journeyman Welder Level A, and has been a big part of the success of the small business he co-owns, Raw Elements Design.
Owen’s eye for detail, and commitment to his clients to provide the best possible experience have been the hallmarks of success for his business.
Add to that Owen’s generosity in giving back to the community and providing mentorship opportunities to new-to-the-industry welders, he is a fantastic example of a well-rounded entrepreneur.
Recently, Owen had the opportunity to collaborate with local artist Sarah Holliday, who envisioned the art installation ‘May She Soar’, a tribute to Captain Jennifer Casey of the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds who was killed when her Snowbird jet crashed in Kamloops. Owen and his team fabricated the art piece, which is now installed by the Kamloops Airport. To Owen, this was more than another job – it was an opportunity to create something as a tribute to a remarkable person – and you can see the craftsmanship of the sculpture, which will be in our community for many generations!
Owen – you are a remarkable person of impact. As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

Last week, we had the privilege of amplifying Owen Jones' incredible impact. As part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individuals. Owen requested that his donation be explicitly directed to D'Arcy Chapman, whose work he wanted to acknowledge.
D'Arcy, a native of B.C., joined Wycliffe, an organization whose goal is to support the translation of the Bible, making it available to minority language communities worldwide, in 2015. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in linguistics. While Langley is his home base, D'arcy travels to Côte d'Ivoire to help translation teams make more accurate, precise, and natural-sounding translations.
Congratulations again, Owen, on being amplified; we are happy to make a $100 donation to support D'arcy Chapman and his work with Wycliffe in your honour.
